Leigh Ellis takes a holistic approach in her counseling practice and integrates mindfulness, self-compassion, and body awareness into traditional talk therapy. Her model of therapy is interpersonal, psychodynamic, and person-centered. She strives to provide a safe, empathic, and secure environment where clients of all ages can explore themselves, their feelings, and their relationships. She promotes wellness in all areas of life and is committed to being fully inclusive and a culturally competent counselor. While she works with a variety of life stages and backgrounds some areas of focus for Leigh include trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, identity formation, life transitions, self-esteem, and spirituality.
