As a counselor and ecotherapist, Sam Lemmer works from a person-centered perspective, incorporating concrete skills such as nature-based mindfulness and sensory awareness into treatment. Sam is passionate about identity and the freedom that coming (back) into one's self can provide. Before we can thrive in relationships, we must build a foundation inside of ourselves from which to connect. Sam works with racial, biracial, multiracial, sexual and gender identity. Creating an empowering space for clients to ask questions and seek answers of themselves, Sam provides evidence-based treatment methods allowing clients to remain grounded and safe along the way. Sam works with individuals, couples, and families, to explore how understanding our biology, environment, and individual spirit can produce harmony while creating solid and supportive relationships- both with ourselves and others. Working with embedded patterns of trauma, emotional processing, and a balanced empathy/expression ratio, Sam helps clients discover and maintain a level of self-awareness that promotes healthy connection to the world around us.
